My butterfly is going for a challenge

Image
Wait wait, before you get confused by reading my title, let me tell you about an interesting challenge that's going on Indian Quilling Challenge Group. Yes you heard it right, IQCG hosts challenges every month with different themes. And the theme for this month (IQCG #58) is BUTTERFLY . Yes, the challenge is to incorporate quilling butterflies in the project. The last day to enter is 28th May 2019. Hurry and participate in this challenge. So to enter in this challenge I made this beautiful Rainbow Butterfly Card . This card gives a positive message to believe in ourself. I have used 5mm quilling strips for both butterflies. And the sentiment is hand written (though my handwriting is poor). I absolutely enjoyed through the making process. Have a look- http://indianquillingchallenge.blogspot.com/2019/05/iqcg58.html Hope you like my project. Thank you.

A Diwali Diya platter

Image
Hello.  Today I am here to show you my Diwali Diya platter which I made in last Diwali. This Diya platter caught attention of my guests and so I decided to show how I made it. I have used 6 inch round mdf and primed it with gesso. Here I have used Little Birdie's 2 in 1 texture paste, which converts into gesso when water is added.  For the 2nd step, I used Fevicryl acrylic Colour Red and painted whole circle, not to forget to paint on sides and back. In step 3, I used a stencil by Icraft and using a sponge dabbed white color on it , giving interesting pattern. Later decorated it with quilling flowers, leaves and beads. Here's the final look Hope you enjoyed the project, see you soon. Thank you.

A little Flashback..!!

Hello everyone. Hope you are doing great. As my 1st post, I would like to show you my first quilling envelopes which I made a year ago. The idea to make envelopes was given by my good friend and she also suggested to check Pinterest for some inspirations.  It took me 5 days to complete one envelope but I kept practicing and never thought of stopping. Gradually my speed increased, and I made few more envelopes which got sold out. Here are few pictures of them (please don't mind picture quality) Let's meet on another blog. Hope you liked it. Thank you
